How do you track my sales?

We use ClickBank to process our sales and track our affiliate referrals. When you promote SkyHigh Auctions you direct traffic to our sales page using a ClickBank hoplink. This link contains your affiliate ID, and when customers arrive at our sales site through this link, a first-party cookie is issued which is valid for 60 days. If the customer makes a purchase within those 60 days (provided they haven't followed any hoplinks from other SkyHigh Auctions affiliates) you will be credited with the sale. How much money can I expect to earn with your affiliate program?

That depends on a very large number of factors. We've done our best to provide an excellent product, very high commission rate, strong sales site and a number of resources for affiliates to use to promote SkyHigh Auctions, but the rest of it is up to you.

We find that traffic to your website (or number of people on your mailing list) doesn't so much determine your earnings as much as your conversion rate -- does your audience listen to you and respect your judgment enough to click the link? In this way, smaller sites can often earn just as much or more than larger sites, and mailing lists are an excellent way to promote products.

How often, when and how do I get paid?

ClickBank posts checks twice per month, on the 1st and the 16th. Your sales need to reach a certain level before ClickBank will send you a check &mdash You can specify this threshold when you set up your ClickBank account. The default is $100. Is anyone able to become an affiliate?

So long as you intend to promote SkyHigh Auctions in an appropriate manner, you're welcome to become an affiliate.

Can anyone from any country become an affiliate?

By using ClickBank, we're restricted to the countries from which ClickBank accepts clients — at present, this is more than 100 countries. Check out the ClickBank signup form to see if your country is listed.

How much does it cost to become an affiliate?

Nothing! It's absolutely free.

Are there a minimum number of sales I need to reach to remain an affiliate?

No, you can remain an affiliate as long as you like, regardless of how many sales you make. There is a minimum amount you need to earn through affiliate sales before ClickBank will issue you with a check. You choose this amount when you sign up with ClickBank. How do I promote SkyHigh Auctions?

You'll find some banners, sales letters and e-zine pieces in this affiliate resource site. You're welcome to use these to promote SkyHigh Auctions, or you can develop your own. We find that the best way to promote any product is to recommend them to your existing customers or subscriber base, but you may also wish to use paid advertisements like Adwords to promote SkyHigh Auctions.

Do I have to have my own website in order to become an affiliate?

It does help, but it's not at all necessary to have your own website. Many affiliates promote SkyHigh Auctions through newsletters, email footers and search engine listings. You could even write your advertisement in the sky — so long as you include your affiliate link, you're only limited by your imagination.

Do I have to purchase SkyHigh Auctions before I can become an affiliate?

It would certainly add an air of authenticity to your campaign, but you're under no obligation to buy SkyHigh Auctions. Hopefully we've provided enough information on the website and in our promotional pieces to give your customers the whole picture.

Do I get SkyHigh Auctions for free if I join your affiliate program?

Sorry, we're not able to give free copies to all affiliates. It seems like a fair request, but many affiliates might just sign up to receive the free software with no real intention of promoting SkyHigh Auctions. We do give you a very high commission though -- so don't think we don't love you. We do! We just show it in a different way.

Can I use unsolicited email to promote SkyHigh Auctions?

It's very polite of you to ask, but absolutely not. We hate spam. We hate spammers. If we suspect an affiliate of engaging in this sort of behavior, your account will be terminated and you will forfeit all commissions owing. Yup, we're serious.

I've made sales but I haven't received a check from Clickbank! What's happened?

There are a number of factors in ClickBank's payment policy that can cause this.

  1. What is your minimum payout threshold set to? The default minimum is $100, which means that ClickBank won't send out a check until you make sales equal to or more than this amount. You can change this figure in your ClickBank account settings.
  2. To comply with US law regarding distribution of customers, ClickBank requires that you make at least five affiliate sales before it will pay out on your account. In these sales there needs to be at least one sale made with Mastercard, and one made with Visa.
